I support this cause!
Surf Rider Foundation is taking action to help ban plastic bags in California, USA. They wanted to be the first state to ban plastic checkout bags at supermarkets, retail pharmacies and convenience stores starting in 2014. But Hawaii was quicker and became officially the first American state to ban plastic bags statewide!
I am so accostumated not using plastic bags in the supermarket anymore, that I find hard to believe in America they are still using it. In many countries such as Switzerland or Ireland plastic bags have been banned from supermarkets ages ago.
Anyway it is a very good thing to be done and it is never too late to take environmentally friendly actions. So I support it 100% !
